Blue and White Les Fauves Pocket Square
Blue and White Les Fauves Pocket Square
100% Silk
This silk pocket square has a looser weave but will sit beautifully in the pocket of any suit or jacket. The rich colors are reminiscent of Fauvism, whose artists emphasized strong colors over realistic values. The handle and texture makes it the perfect accessory for casual and fun tailoring.
This silk fabric was originally made for a Komon Kimono. Komon means "small repeated patterns" and dyed Komon goes back to the Muromachi period (1333 - 1573) where the samurai class began to use them as daily clothes. These patterns are equally distributed throughout the fabric and are printed from woodblocks or dyed using stencils. This kimono fabric is exceptional and is hand-finished with Baby Hem edges.
