久留米絣: Kurume-Kasuri is a method of textile dyeing invented by a girl named Inoue Den when she was about 12 years old (born: 1788). The delicately splashed patterned is called double-ikat in Japan or it's literal translation, Kurume Kasuri. The use of the Kasuri thread bound by hand, all natural plants in dyeing and a hand loom in weaving, this traditional technique is deemed an intangible cultural asset.

Versatile and easy to wear, this bow tie can be paired smartly with most stripes and checks. Also available as a Scarf.
